IL&FS Education joins hands with MoRD for Parvaaz

IL&FS Education has joined hands with Ministry of Rural Development for Parvaaz, an exclusive programme for the BPL youth belonging to the minority communities. Parvaaz, literally signifies the first flight of a bird to explore the world of freedom. On similar notes project Parvaaz aims provide a platform to the marginalised youth and help them to take their first flight in pursuit of self identity, freedom and equality.

IL&FS Education has been playing a pivotal role in paving a way for the social, political and economic empowerment of rural BPL minority youth. Under this project IL&FS has been conducting community mobilisation programmes and workshops in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The curriculum of the programme has been specifically designed to provide a continuum based learning to ensure quality education for minority youth neo-literates and school drop-outs.

Under the Parvaaz initiative IL&FS aims to provide an annual academic programme to 5000 school dropouts and neo-literates minority Muslim youth and help them to acquire basic literacy for a smooth life. IL&FS also aims to provide vocational training programme to the minority youth with specific industry skills to equip them for employability in organised sectors.

Currently 7 Parvaaz centres are running actively in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana benefitting the lives of 600 students.

Parvaaz is first-of-its-kind initiative in India for the benefit of Muslim youth to ensure education, employability and empowerment for community.
